Spicy Ginger Chai
Moonlit Mercantile's variation on the world famous Chai Masala, with a medley of spices, two black teas, and a signature extra flourish of Chinese ginger. Great as an afternoon pick-me-up, paired with your favorite cookie and a good read.
Our recipe blends Indian & Sri Lankan black teas, whole green cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and black peppercorns to produce a fiery, juicy yet easy to drink cup featuring a light body & natural sweetness from the balanced spices.

We recommend steeping 8 grams with 12oz of hot, boiling water for 3-5 minutes, depending on your taste. Longer, hotter steeps will unlock more of the spices' heat - but this may be necessary to power through dairy & plant milk. Do note that as a chai blend, the black teas used come in much smaller pieces than our typical loose leaves.
