Known as "Da Hong Pao" or Big Red Robe, this dark roasted Chinese oolong from the Wuyi Mountains offers a clear liquor with smoky, mineral complexity and a touch of orchid fragrance. Complete with Wuyi's signature "yan yun" finish — with the tea's rocky sweetness lingering in aftertaste.

While many Da Hong Paos can be supremely expensive or concerningly cheap due to Wuyi's demand in China - this particular low-roast batch was purposely selected as a happy medium between accessibility and Red Robe's elusive flavor. We recommend brewing at 208*F (higher than light roasted oolongs), steeping 4g of tea for 2 minutes with 8oz of hot water.
