「Background」
While tea plants also flourish at lower altitudes, slow-growing, high mountain leaves are prized for rare & aromatic flavors. High elevation brings stressors like clouded sunlight & day-night climate swings that push leaves to concentrate chlorophyll & protective compounds that change your brew's flavor. These conditions also promote premium hand-picking – as industrial machinery (often) has difficulty reaching these small, high groves.
