Golden Lily Oolong (金萱)
Smooth & creamy like coconut milk, this light roasted oolong is a traditional Taiwanese classic. While nicknamed "milk oolong" for its signature texture, Golden Lily's taste is surprisingly gentle like frangipani flowers, with the sweet fragrance to match.
For Western style brewing, try using 2 tsp tea for 8oz of ~200*F water. The tea's delicate floral profile and milky texture should fully develop in about 2 minutes.
For Gong Fu style tea, your usual 5-8g of tea should be perfect for a gaiwan session. The first steep may be clean and floral, but the 2nd-5th brew should be wonderfully supple and flavorful before the tea's sweetness fades.
