Smoldering caramel, with an elegantly peach florals that take over after your first sip. This custom Moonlit Blend is our dark, Chinese spin on the light-roasted Taiwanese classic!
Marking our first all-Chinese blend, Dark Osmanthus uses a different crop of subtropical Chinese flowers and a carefully roasted batch of traditionally charcoal-roasted oolong. Visually stunning - but yields a sweet & understated brew.
Where our OG Taiwanese version is wonderfully creamy, tropical, and melony - this rendition drinks crystal clean, peachy, and caramelized. Less fragrant, but with a pleasantly longer aftertaste.
For larger batches, we recommend the following recipe:
6g Tea | 12oz Water | 208*F | 4 Minutes
If you prefer resteeping and exploring the tea's evolution of flavor, we recommend steeping 8g of tea with 12oz of 208*F hot water for three steeps. The first, second & third steep will complete in 2, 2, then 4 minutes. Earlier steeps will yield fresh peachy tones, with later steeps revealing the tea's toastier caramel side.
