Moonlit's final flower tea of 2026, Golden Silk Chrysanthemum is the gentle wild child of our herbal family.

Warmly naturalistic in flavor, with delicate tones of eucalyptus honey, wild lemon, & sweet herbs - reminiscent of the early morning mist when waking up camping. More visually ostentatious than our Royal Chrysanthemum, needless to say - but surprisingly soft, healing and reassuring in "qi" (the effect or "energy" from drinking a given tea, like mint tea's mental calm or matcha's steady alertness)

Brewing wise, Golden Silk Chrysanthemum is like a fine but fickle green; it needs care not to go beyond 185°F (85°C) to avoid unlocking untamed, grassier tones - but rewards you with an otherwise forgiving brew that requires spending very little tea (1g to 3oz ratio like a high quality Sencha) and is very flexible in steep time - growing stronger in meadow honey flavor in later steeps.

For a balanced brew, we prefer...

4g (~2-4 Blooms) | 12oz | 180-185°F | 3-6 minutes

with 185°F and 5 minutes being our personal sweetspot.

For those like me who grew up on bolder, aggressive flavors like Chinese dark oolongs, Japanese Hojicha, & Indian Assam, I recommend our Royal Chrysanthemum as its flavor is more pronounced.
